I've read about lots of problems with SP2...and went to
MS site ...I will probably load it when I get the disk
BUT do I NEED the firewall protection if I have recent
Norton Antivirus...(have new version on order)??? Thanks.

Yes. You need firewall protection and anti virus. However, you don't need to
use xp's firewall if you don't want to. You can always use the 'free'
version firewall from zonealarm (www.zonelabs.com) or sygate
(www.sygate.com) Incidentally, there also many 'free' anti virus
applications out there too. I use AVG anti virus (www.grisoft.com) and have
had no problems with it protecting my system.

.
Leave the Norton alone! go to the update page and search
for free antivirus computer associates has a free year
and it's just as good as Norton(I think it's better)also
comes with free year firewall too(if you choose the lite
virsion. Here i'll get it for you.

/antivirus.aspx
choose the free year CA...It's really good, all you need
is an E-Mail address for them to send you the link and
pass code to.Also you will need to delete the Norton, they
have a removale tool on the page they send to your E-
Mail.I've been telling my family and friends about it,and
they all thank me for it.Save them some bucks and protect
their computer.
