sp2 database error

On sp2 install, as the installer is creating a system restore point, I get a
'cannot write to or from the database' error msg. So SP2 never finishes
loading.

Any ideas?

I'm having the same problem. The sp2 go to install and

locks-up about half way through the install. It shows
that it successfully installed but is is not. So far MS
is no help.
