SP2 - continuous reboot

computer keeps on rebooting,may have to do with sp2????pls
help..is there a fix??? tried to download sp3, keep on
getting download/installation failed

Shaft, My question to you is what SP-3 are you trying to
download?

You need to first run scans for spyware, adware,

trojans, viruses, worms, etc. and clean your system of
any of these bad things prior to install of SP2. So now
try to reboot into the safe mode, then do a system
restore to a day and time before your problem, then do
what I said above. Also run disk cleanup and defragmentor.

There is no SP3 for Windows XP.

To stop your rebooting open Control Panel - System - Advanced and
click on the Settings button in the Startup and Recovery (bottom)
section.

In the Startup and Recovery window click on the checkbox for
"autotmatically restart" to clear it.

Click on Apply and OK as needed to exit.
