Hi all,

since I installed SP2 on the computer I would like to connect to the
remotedesktopconnection doesn't work anymore properly. I still can log on but
when I try to log off the remote user, Windows never finishes and the remote
computer is crashed (it's a freeze actually). It is not possible to work
locally also. I've switched off the firewalls also for test reasons. Does
anybody know any advice? Help is gretly appreciated.

Greetings,
Mat

I have used SP2 RC2 and since release full SP2 release version.

I have connected to many remote XP systems, with SP1 and SP2.

I have not had any issues with remote Desktop connection and not had to make
any specifc adjustments, not even to disable SP2 firewall.

May I suggest that one should look at the remote PC and perform thorough
Virsus / Worm scanning.

Thanks, now I know that this is not a general issue. Maybe it's nevertheless
a firewall issue, since I switched off my third party firewall remotely (the
log in works). Maybe the changes didn't take effect before I logged off.
There should be no viruses on the machine since these issues are handled very
conservatively (current virus scanner, no unknown programs, users work with
limited rights). I will check things out this evening.

Thanks again,
Mat
