Just downloaded SP2.
However I have McAfee Security, which now seems to be an unnecessary
duplication- what do you think?
Thanks, John

I assume McAfee Security is a firewall? If so use it in preference to
the XP/SP2 firewall which is limited to inbound protection. You can
configure XP security to use your favourite firewall.

Use your McAfee. Windows Security Center has no problems recognising its
Firewall and Viruscan as long as they are up to date.

Thanks for that...whatabout Norton Anti-Virus..friend has that already
installed..do you recommend he sticks with that or uses the SP2 feature?
Thanks.
John

I believe he should stick with Norton for the same reason.
