I have Broadband through a set top box and have checked Never dial a
Connection....however since installing SP2 I have been getting a dial up box
appear intermittently when I log on and whilst being online. I do not have a
phone connected to it. I have checked with NTL the Service provider and they
have advised me to contact Microsoft about this.

OK ran...Symantecs as have Norton/Symantecs installed. However....in the test

STEALTH a por...ie : ICMP Ping etc.....

It may be spyware/adware you will need to use Adaware, a virus scanner will
not do the job.
