SP2 all wacked out

I had my computer built with xp installed. Have Norton
Anti, and use my computer for personal use. Religiously
update Norton and Microsoft info. About 5-6 weeks ago
when I updated Microsoft, SPYWARESTORMER came on the
screen. I bought into it and beween the Microsoft update
and installing this spyware, my computer is slow, won't
allow me to access info from web pages, the hourglass,
hand symbol hangs up, screen goes partially blank. I
ended up removing spyware to no avail. Attempted
numerous times to do a SYSTEM RESTORE and am told can't
do it on the date selected. Frustrated, not on the screen
for a few days, found that SP2 was available, downloaded
hopeing that it would be a fix. WRONG. Still have
problems, contacted my DSL/local connect with no results.
I'm no "geek" genius, but I think I have tried every way
possible a novice can get this to work. Maybe Bill Gates
should give up some of that 50+ billion. I bet we'd get
a fix real fast. And I'd rank all the hackers, virus
breeders etc. right up there with child molesters. SHOOT
THEM WHEN CAUGHT.
