Hi,
I work with a company that makes AV and firewall. When our product is
installed the WindowsXP SP2 Security Center does not recognise it, keeps
sendign alerts that the system is not secure. I know there is an option to
turn off the service. But I want to know if there is a way to
programmatically modify some settings. I read from the newgroups that WMI is
the place to look at. Is that the only option?
Can it not be simple liek adding our name in the registry under security
center under "Monitoring" list?

Can some one please let me know?
Any help is greatly appreciated. I just wanted to try this before placing a
call to MS.
Thanks,
lav

No, it is not that simple.
You should contact Microsoft to determine exactly what must be done to
your firewall so the Security Center identifies it.

Visit http://www.peapod.co.uk/pns398/xp_sp2.htm and read the section titled:
