I downloaded sp1a for network and after it started installing, my computer keeps booting over and over again. It gets to the windows xp splash screen and then reboots. The last thing I remember seeing was that it was archiving my files and creating a restore point. I have been unable to figure out what to try next. HELP I am using another computer to track this thread so please help soon.

I also tried updating XP Professional to Service Pack 1a and am having the same problem...my computer keeps rebooting and after a couple of restarts I get a blue screen saying "Fatal System Error --- c000021a"

Have you had any luck resolving this or does anyone know how to fix it

If you press F8 during bootup before the windows splash screen you will get
a menu. From there you can try "Last Known good Configuration".
