The Vista website says SP1 will be available Mid-April instead of
Mid-March!!! Is this some kind of game they are playing??? Are we supposed to
wait another damn month???

Tsk, tsk!
If you think SP1 will solve all YOUR probs, think again.

Most people don't have problems with Vista!
They just don't like using it!

Hi,

It's been available since yesterday, however it may not be offered to
everyone. One BIG reason why from:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsvista/bb968859.aspx

"Windows Update will recognize PCs with known problematic drivers and
postpone downloading Windows Vista SP1 until the PC has updated drivers or
other applicable updates. Using Windows Update will help ensure you have the
most trouble-free update experience possible."

Well this is like dealing with the government. I haven't a clue about my
drivers and shouldn't care, I only know what MS shoves on my PC via Windows
Updates!!! I simply want whatever text I type into an email or Word doc to
stop dissappearing along with other Vista Moments!!! Just as the text you're
readinf at this moment has been typed three damn times!!!

Have you tried another keyboard? You really shouldn't count on SP1 to
fix your problem, I may be wrong but I don't recall reading this issue
as one covered by SP1.

The service pack was made available fro download yesterday. It I currently
only available in 5 languages so not everyone will get it straight away.
