Quicky. I want to download XP SP1 and save it to my hard drive. So far when
downloading it from MS I haven't found an option to save the files, so I
cancel the download. What am I doing wrong? At what point should it give me
the option to choose 'save to disc'?
Thanks

You need to download the single large 139MB file Network install version
see the right side of

You can't do it when using the 'Express' method. You can if you take
the Network one on the right at
http://www.microsoft.com/WindowsXP/pro/downloads/servicepacks/sp1/default..asp
but it is a 125MB download - so you need broadband. Or at the bottom of
the page is a link to order it on CD. $10 plus S&H IIRC -
though the corresponding UK page
http://www.microsoft.com/uk/windowsxp/servicepacks/sp1.asp
links to provide it for free

I downloaded the file and after 8 hours using my dialup connection the file
is corrupt. Thanks MS.

The file on our servers is not corrupt.
The corruption occurred during the download.
If you are not able to download the file without corruption then you can
order it on CD ROM.
