Help!

I have tried 4 times to install SP2 on my AMD 64
computer, each time the SP2 loads like normal, but when I
finish and reboot, the system blue screens just after the
XP logo and immediatly reboots again. So fast in fact
that I can't read the Blue screen.

I have unloaded everything program that starts to load on
boot that I can imagine, set all BIOS settings to default
and the same thing happens again.

Anyone else run into this problem?

Yes. I remove the SP2 install and all is back to normal.
All safe mode operations work normally.

I had a similar problem on Dell laptop
Explorer crashes & will not start
could use task manager but no much else
only solution was to repair the XP install

Thanks for your input, spent 4 hours on tech support with
MS, no luck. Did the driver upgrade thing, also put hard
drive into another identical system, same problem so it's
not hardware. Not 3rd party drivers eliminated that, just
won't install on my ASUS K8V Deluxe. I'm afraid I'll have
to blow away the drive and start fresh, hope I don't have
to do the same for the 40+ other machines like this I
have out there...
