SP-2 slowdown

I ordered SP-2 CD and installed it with no problems but
after my system slowed down tremendously.My loadup time at
start has tripled and even afterwards games and programs
seem to take alot longer to load.Any advice would be
helpfull.

PS. no viruses or adware present before install
 
After I installed XP Windows Service Pack II, my startup
time has also tripled. - I have been trying to find a
solution to this, and wonder if you have yet? - my pages
also take a bit longer to load.

If you have a Dell Dell Inspiron 1150 or 2650, you might get a
slow running system after installing SP2, take a look at this

I don't have a DELL. I have an HP Pavilion.

I have a eMachine p4 2gig sys and did all prep work

before installing SP2.I also checked the driver on my
processor and it was "processor.sys".Still no fix!
