I have a completed presentation with music that I have taken from a CD. When
I play the presentation on any other PC than the one I created it on, the
slides go fine, but the music won't play. I have tried turing up all vloume
controls per each prespective Pc, still no sound. The sound icon is still
displayed in the presentation and there are no mutes checked anywhere. I am
not a idiot but I just cannot figure out why this is. .

PowerPoint doesn't extract the music from a CD and embed it in your
presentation. So, it is looking for the music CD. Not finding it, it just
doesn't play any music.

If you want to distribute a presentation with music from a CD you'll need to
"rip" it from the CD to files on your hard drive. CD rippers can be found with
google.com. One that I like is called Audiograbber.

All that said, it is important to realize that if this is a commercial CD it is
copyrighted and you will need to write to the copyright owner for permission to
distribute the tracks to others.

Go to the File menu and select Pack and GO. Follow the
instructions. this will package your presentation along
with the sound file so that it loads on another computer
(when you unpack it) and will play normally.
