can anyone tell me please how to get different sounds for doing different
things in windows?

I am finding that in MSN messenger it gets very tempermental about sounds
when people sign in etc, so I was wondering how to make my own sounds and
assign the sound to a particular function.

Also where would I have to store them?

Finally can someone tell me please how to get new fonts and what if any
restrictions are imposed when loading them into windows....... I seem to
recall in previous versions of windows that there was only a certain amount
one could have.

How would I go about changing or adding fonts so they could be used for
office/works??

Many thanks

Look up FONTS and SOUNDS in Windows Help: it's all explained there.

Natsun,

You can use any .wav sound file you may have. Save it into
'C:\WINDOWS\Media'.

Now go to the Control Panel , select 'Sounds & Audio Devices',
Select the 'Sounds' tab,
Under the 'Program events' heading, scroll to any sound with a speaker icon
to the left & click it. Under the 'Sounds' heading, select 'Browse,
navigate to 'C:\WINDOWS\Media' and click on the sound file you prefer, click
OK.
