I have tried the registry fix suggested here, but I can not get the sounds
applet to work. CD audio playsbak OK

Please help, is driving me craze!

What registry fix? What you you mean "I can not get the sounds applet to
work"? Be specific. What steps do you perform and what exactly happens or
doesn't including the text of any error message verbatim.
