I have the soundblaster digital 4.1 and it still works well so i don't see
why i should change it. However, i cannot install the driver software from
the original disk nor can i install the update driver from the creative site.
In fact, it crashes when i try to install it. I would prefer to install this
driver rather than the one fournished by windows. Can anyone help?

Use the Windows driver. If you need an updated driver, windows update
will find it for you.

I know but with that driver there are problems using the MIDI device. Cakewalk, a MIDI editor, does not recognize it.
