I don't have any sound schemes other than "Windows Default". Is there a
way to import or install other ones... like Utopia for instance? Or do I
have to build it myself? (I have the Utopia sound files from Win 98).

I have those and also the "Jungle" and "Musica" sets as well. Put the files
you want into the C:\Windows\Media folder and you can create a sound scheme
according to your own tastes.

Actually, that's what I did in the end. I was just wondering how to get
it listed in the "scheme" dropdown window. I picked all the Utopia files
and entered them one by one, then saved it as "Utopia".

Be sure to do a session with the "Files and settings transfer" wizard in
System Tools. Use it to save your settings (not necessarily your files) in a
safe place. That way if you ever need to do a reinstallation etc of WinXP,
you'll be able to recover the sound scheme you've created. (There's no other
way to save it that I know of.)
