Sound scheme selection lost after reboot

Hi,

I have created a sound scheme and set the Sounds and Audio Devices
Properties to use this scheme.

It works fine until I reboot XP. When the system comes back up, the setting
is lost and no Sound scheme is selected.

Using XP Pro Service Pack 2, all updates installed. Same behavior with SP1.

Any ideas?

Huck

be interested to know if when you saved the sound scheme
(you did save it?) if after the reboot the file exists in
the location saved?

You can not specify a location or file name, just a name for a sound scheme.
FWIW, no file with the name I choose is created when saving the profile.
Should there be? I thought that this information is stored in the registry
only.
