Sound Recordings

I am working with Windows XP and Dragon
NaturallySpeaking. I need to know if I can make a short,
5-10 minutes, sound recording, save it to a wav file, and
send it to someone else for playback. I have plenty of
memory and RAM. My computer is An HP Kayak.
 
Yes. I don't remember if Dragon NS will record wave files but I don't think
it will. Check the documentation that came with the program to see if it
will record .WAV files. Windows sound recorder only records for 60 seconds
at a time so that program is out. You should have some type of sound
recording program installed with the sound card in your computer (AVRack,
Creative Recorder, etc.). You apparently already have a microphone. Set up
whichever software you find will record the .WAV file and have to it.
 
Actually the recording time of Sound Recorder can be increased in 60 second increments. Take a look here:
