Sound recorder- recording sounds more than a minute

I have laptop with windows XP sp2 operating system. Presnetly the sound
records fr a one minute duration only. If you want to record for more than a
imnute, you need to press the record button again and again. How do I use my
sound recorder system to record longer durations uninterruptedly.

Can any one hlep me on this?

Go for this. It's great. You can even record streaming music by setting
source to "wave out mix".
