Is there any way to get the supplied sound recorder (XP Pro) to record a
long file of about 2 hours?
Thanks in advance... Bob
Yes
Find an existing .wav file that is long enough to cover
your time requirement. Open the file with sound recorder.
Make sure the position pointer is at the beginning of the file.
Initiate your recording. Note that this will destroy the
original file so make sure you have a copy of it if you
want to keep it.
You can also make your own "silent" wave file by doing
a 60 second recording with no input. You can then use
sound recorder to insert this file into itself enough times
to make a file of the length you want. i.e.
Make a file called 60.wav and save it.
Insert 60.wav and save the result as 120.wav.
Insert 120.wav and save the result as 240.wav.
Keep inserting until you reach the size you want.
