Sound Problems on Laptop

I just installed Windows XP pro on my laptop, I had XP home on it before, and
i can't hear the sound and/or the sound driver is missing, can anyone help?

You need to install the drivers for the device. Go to the laptop mftr.'s
website and download them for your specific model laptop. While you're
there, get drivers for your motherboard, video, etc. as well as other
laptop software such as power management programs.
