Sound lost after I put my laptop in standby

This happens quite often but not always. I try to resuscitate the sounds by
checking everything in Control panel/Sounds but everything seems normal
there. The only way I have to recover the sound is to restart the computer.
Help welcome.

It's normal, some USB devices don't come out of standby properly either.
There's nothing you can do about it at the moment i'm afraid, except ensure
you have the latest working drivers for your machine.

i.e: if you have an msi machine, you can use their 'liveupdate' software
located at www.msi.com.tw - etc
 
Thanks for your reply. This bug is recent. I recently installed Skype and I
am wondering if there is a link. I went to browse their forum but did not
find anything. Has anyone experienced the same problem with Skype?
