First of all, I am not sure if this is the right newsgroup. I am looking for
Information on Win2K. If this is not right, where can I find the right group?
Now for the problem: I had a Win2K PC that was a few years old. A faster PC
became available to me, and I simply installed the Hard disk from the slower
PC and rebooted. Win2K miraculously resolved all hardware conflicts and
problems, and I ended up with a faster, stable system. Good job, Microsoft!!
There is one problem: I have a phone system that allows me to receive voice
messages in Outlook via TAPI. These voice streams (and others as well that
have nothing to do with the phone system, such as the "text to speech" voice
in the Control panel "speech" applet) seem to run too fast. The voices are
squeeky (think Donald Duck), while they are normal if listened to via the
phone system. I am wondering if I need to tell some software that my
processor is faster and the playback needs to be slowed down a bit.
Any suggestions?
