Sound Icon on the tray

Why is it that any time I start my computer I have to insert the sound icon
(little speaker) on the tray eventhough its box is check so that it should be
permanently on the startup tray can anybody advise on a solution

Ok Wesley V, thanks for your advise after trying all this neat stuff it still
not worked so I tried installing the drivers from creative and that did the
trick. However the site you mention has the answers for other problems? and
how do I use this site for future reference? THX!!!!!!!!! YOBY
