sound driver

we had windows 98 and changed it to windows xp and I lost my modem and my
sound driver. I got my modem back but I still can,t get my sound driver. I
have been trying to download the driver I had with the windows 98 and that
doesn,t work. Please someone help me. And I downloaded soundblaster from
the internet and that didn,t work either. Thank you Mindy
 
Hi Mindy, you might check to see if you have an ISA Sound card installed. I
think that Windows XP requires that you have a PCI Sound Card. I am not
certain of this but my sound does not work on my old Windows 98 Computer
after installing XP on it.

what is the sound card ? try www.driversguide.com, hard to find driver's
can be found there MOST of the time.

Deacon, So did you ever get your sound back. The sound card I was trying to
install was a isa and it was from windows 95. On this puter I started with
windows 95, then 98 then xp. Can I go to driversguide and download a sound
driver and which one do I download? I appreicate any help you can give me.
