Create a folder and subfolders suitably named.

Some use a different partition, and a folder/subfolder in that partition
suitably named in case windows crashes and wrecks the windows partition
filesystem. Nah, never happen, right?

I keep d/l sound drivers from different locations but I don't know where to
install them to afterwards. May sound dumb but where do you put them?

Create a folder where?

Reread your post. You can only install one (1) driver package at time. The
installer will find the soind card/chip if it exists on your PC. Try
rephrasing your post if you mean something else.

Sorry for the confusion. So do I make a folder under the C: drive and
download to there? I've downloaded three times from different web sites to
the desktop and just clicked the .exe file. Never worked, never installed,
that's what I meant by three.

A downloaded driver that is an executable is generally a compressed form of
many files. Do these show up?

Thanks for the reply. That computer crashes every 4-5 min. Going to have to
take it to a repair shop.
