I just built my system from scratch. Everything works fine
except the sound.

My mother board is PC533M922 Series, V5.0 B. The mainboads
socket 478 for an Inel Penium 4. The Mainboad has the VIA
P4X333 Northbridge and VT8235/8233 ACE Southbridge
chipsets that support AC 97 audio codec.

My video and sound cards are from MadDog MultiMedia. I
have downloaded all the XP drivers. Made sure there are no
hardware conflicts. The only thing I'm not sure about is
integrated sound. I need to know if my motherboard has it.
Under Features Setup page of my BIOS should I enable the
Audio Device? Like I said everything works fine but the
sound. I mean it wont even play the Windows sounds.

Please, Please, Please, HELP!!!

Hi

Boot into BIOS and disable the on-board sound chips, if any
In windows, go to control panel/add or remove program to remove the existing sound drivers then reboot
After reboot, temporarily disable the antiVirus software and then re-install the latest XP compatible sound drivers of your sound card
If you still have problems, go to the following link

Hope it helps

Just to verify under my BIOS it is the ENABLE AUDIO
DEVICE? I will give that a shot. Have you ever worked with
a PC Chips mainboard?
