sound device problem

i have suddenly got a problem with the sound on my laptop. first of all the
sound went altogether so i rebooted it. it then told me it had found new
hardware (sound device driver) and the volume has returned. the only problem
is for example, when i play cards they flip across the screen at the usual
speed but then the sound of them being dealt now occurs a few seconds later.
also when i type anything (i have incredimail giving me the option of sounds
eg typewriter noises) the click click of the keys and ding when press enter
for carriage return are now also late and intermittent which is very
frustrating
please help
 
You might want to visit the web site of your laptops manufacturer
and download and install the latest audio drivers for your
particular model. That would be the safest route to take.

Other approaches would be to open Device Manager and use the
driver rollback feature to restore the previous version or to use
System Restore to bring your PC's configuration back to a time
before this problem developed.

Post back with the manufacturer and model number of your laptop
if you have any problems finding the correct drivers.
