sound changes evey time i shut down

i have jus bought a new com with vista. wen i switch it on there is no sound
so i have to go into realtek audio manger and change from line in to front
speakers out. then if i shut down again it resets itself. why does this keep
happening

Since this is a new computer, have you contacted the computer manufacturer's
tech support for help?
