I don't know if this is software or hardware related, but it's very
annoying.
If I 'hotplug' an audio cable - even one carrying no signal - into my sound
card, the entire system hangs, hardware reset needed; for example, just
plugging headphones in will cause it to hang.
I've thought, tried to measure possible voltage differentials, there just
doesn't seem to be a logical reason.
Some system details:
XPPro, SP3
Asus CUSL2C motherboard
Audigy 1 running latest creative drivers
On the same topic, is it possible to have two soundcards installed
concurrently?
TIA
