sound blaster MediaSource won't install/crashes

I use platinum EX by sound blaster. Everything was up and
running fine, but a few days ago I had TERRIBLE crashes
with their MEDIA SOURCE CD software.

Now, when I try and re-install the software, it says:
THIS APPLICATION HAS FAILED TO START BECAUSE PLXCORE.PLX
WAS NOT FOUND. CTRegSvr.EXE unable to locate component.

I tried everything, including locating plxcore.plx on the
installation disk and putting it in the Creative folder
with CTRegSvr.EXE

Nothing works. Does anbody have any ideas on this???
 
Don't forget a basic rule of computers: Always need to
uninstall before you attempt to install the software
again.So uninstall everything connected to that program,
you can do this from the control panel, installing or
deleting new software. Good luck.
