SOS: Cannot connect a computer to another

Hi all.
I have 3 laptop (Dell) computers on a network. Comp 1 can get to the files
(all shared) of 2 and 3, BUT 2 and 3 (that are OK with each other) can't talk
to 1 !
Either they do not see him or I get the "you do not have permission.." error
message
PLZ, how do I fix it ?

Check your firewall settings on all three computers and make sure the
local area network traffic is allowed.

Here is an excellent network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna:

Take the time to go through it and it will pinpoint the problem area(s).
