Sorting problem

I am trying to sort a worksheet by the first column of
data which consists of some some numbers and some text but
is all formatted as text. The sort function sorts most of
it but not all. If the cells that were not sorted
correctly are re-entered and again sorted, it works. Why
will it not sort all rows correctly in the first
instance? Any advice is well appreciated.

Hi
sounds like some of your numbers were stored as 'Text'
values. Re-entering forces a conversion to real numbers
