Sorting my imported Personal Address Book

I've imported Personal Address Books from Outlook Express
into Outlook for the computers in our office, but during
the import process the alpha. sort was lost on each one.
I've tried all the obvious fixes, but nothing is working.
What have I missed? How can I make these Address Books
sort and behave again?

Thanks!

You'll need to clarify what you did. OE does not use a Personal Address
Book. Tell us what you actually imported and how. Tell us what Outlook
version. Tell us where the sort order is not correct.

I was trying to copy my OE 6 address book, also
identified as contacts into personal address books I
wanted to create in Outlook 2000 SR1. I used the
Import/Export Wizard to import Internet Mail and
Addresses from OE 4x,5 and selected "import address book"
with destination being Personal Address Book of Outlook.
Now, as I said, I have these Personal Address Books in
Outlook which contain all the address/contact information
we previously used in OE, but the entries are no longer
sorted alphabetically (first name, last name or vice
versa) like they were in OE. Strangely, today I see that
entries within distribution groups imported from that
same source and saved to same destination ARE still
sorted within each group!
