Sorting Contacts in popup window

When I create a new email message and access the popup window by clicking the
"To" button the contact list comes up and is sorted by name. Is there any
way I can change this to sort by display name or email address???

You have two choices: "Firstname Lastname" or "File As" from the Contacts
folder. Choose with one you want by clicking Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or
change existing directories or address books>Next, selecting Outlook Address
Book, and clicking OK. The options are there. You will need to stop and
restart Outlook for the change to take effect.
