sorting columns when cell results based on other cells

is it possible to sort colums when the results of the cells in the column are
dependent on a formula that includes another cell?

Can I somehow "lock" the rows together?
 
Highlight the group of cells you want to sort before you execute the sort.
Then the rows will stay together.
