Hi Bill,
you can specify up to 10 levels of Sorting (and Grouping) in
a report -- that is one of the most powerful abilities of a
report
if you want subtotals or other reporting on grouped levels,
turn on the group header and/or footer (Group Header and/or
Group Footer --> Yes)
the best thing to do is just to experiment! Use the report
wizard to create some reports for you and LOOK at what it
creates in the sections and in the sorting/grouping window
from the report design
and, despite how simple it seems, you can read the Help in
Access -- it really is quite good
another thing you can do is turn on the sorting & grouing
window, click in a property (ie: Group Header) and press the
F1 key to get context-specific help
when you find something that pertains to what you are
looking for, click the blue "See Also" link in the upper
left and read related topics
beyond that, as Fred said, ask specific questions in the
newsgroup -- we are happy to help you
Warm Regards,
Crystal
