Sort, Subtotal, Sort

I have a database where I sort Col A in acsending order.
Then, on every change in Col A, I do a subtotal to the
figures in Col C. How do I sort all the subtotals in
ascending order?

Collapse the list, so that only the subtotals and grand total are
visible. Sort the list on column C, then expand the list to see all the
entries.

I tried that. However, a warning message pops out and
informed that all the subtotals formula will be removed.

Please advice.

How many levels of subtotals do you have? (How many outline buttons are
in the bar at the left of the worksheet?)
