The "sort by name" choice is not available whe I rt. click

With IE5+ alpha-numeric sorting is suppressed... new items always go to the
bottom of the list.
The "built in" sorting options for IE5+ Favourites (and Start Menu) are not
available in (nor do they apply to) any Windows Explorer view - changing the
order of any list in Windows Explore will not affect the registry keys
holding sort information.
All the IE sorting is controlled from Favourites 'drop list' but the
settings
there should affect both explorer panel and the drop lists.
For the Favourites lists, In IE5+, use the favourites 'drop list' from the
menu
bar - between 'View' & 'Tools' - or use the 'ALT A' key combination. In
that
list, go to any entry and right click from there - look to the bottom of the
pop-up menu just above the line that says 'properties' you should see an
option to "Sort by Name".
When you choose the 'sort by name' option, the order should revert to
'windows standard Alpha-Numeric' - (folders first then files in order.)
Each folder in the list (main Favourites folder or any sub folders) can be
(must be) reset separately.
The IE5+ Favourites Explorer Bar (left panel) and the Organise favourites
displays in IE5 can be used to create custom list orders (using drag & drop)
but only the menu drop list has the "sort by name' option to
reset the registry keys back to alpha-numeric.
