I just completed a fresh install of xp and now my
computer will not recognize my sony dsc-s70 camera. with
windows 2000 i would just plug in the USB cable and it
would show up in My Computer. Device manager has it set
up as unknown device. Sony has no drivers for this on
their web page. what can i do?

It has been suggested that changing the
camera's USB settings to PTP might help...

The following link will lead you to an updated
Win2000 driver, it might be worth a try...dated...
11-06-2003.

Enter your product: Cyber-shot Cameras
Enter your model #: DSC-S70
Left Click the: Drivers and Updates button...

The driver I would try is:
USBDRV13E.EXE

If you prefer not to install a Win2000 driver on
a WinXP system try the following alternative
suggestion:

Purchase a USB Memory Stick reader.
