Hello I hve a Sony Microvault 128mb. It works on my Win XP computer but on my Win 98 computer it doesn't. I have tried drivers and have contaced technical support who said that it was incompatible. Please Help. I bought the Microvault for transfering file from Win XP to Win 98.

Return it for a refund and research your purchases more carefully in the
future.

From the Sony website:

"For Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me and Mac OS 9.0 and higher.
For Windows 98/98 SE, you need to install a device driver from the supplied
CD-ROM or from the website."

Its very hard to have a usable computer running on linux.
Dont get me wrong I have many distros and like linux, but when it comes to
atually using a computer for
work or play windows XP is far better.

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Does not have to get a refund. Most flash disk require a driver. Windows
ME, 2000 and XP have them built-in. Windows 98 requires the drivers that
are availalbe on Sony's web site, if the CD did not come with the drive.

Only if one is too stupid to be able to read a little or ask a question.
Hmmm...just like what needs to be done to have a usable windohs computer.

LMAO! You "have many distros"...how old are they? What distros and versions?
Are you now going to go ogle for what you can find real fast to answer these
questions with any semblance of intelligence and real info?
I left W98 'cold turkey' 4 and a half years ago and haven't looked back since.
I actually am able to do *more* now, than when I used winduhs...because I don't
sweat a load when I get on the internet now, I don't have to spend a buttload
of time I'm online downloading 'hotfixes' (and hoping they don't screw
something else up) and then more time downloading updates to AV's/pop-up
blockers/ad and spyware removers/ ad nauseum and then wasting *more* time
running the damn things.
I actually have fun now on my computer, the worries have all completely
disappeared by ditching an OS that is overpriced, doesn't work when it's
supposed to and gets screwed up if one happens to fart too loud. I play my
games just fine. I do any work I want to just fine. Now, tell me again this BS
lie of yours that you "have many distros" and yet use windows for "work and
play", since that's all there is to using a computer is 'work or play'. You're
so full of shit the whites of your eyes are brown, and when you open your mouth
you have to make sure you carry a roll of toilet paper around to keep it from
rolling down your chin.

It didn't. Get another job.
