I do not know your name?? If the Sony DVD/RW drive came with your computer check if your warenty is still in tack..If not still contact www.Sony.com and ask for tech help.. C Cari \(MS-MVP\) Sep 7, 2004 #4 To PLAY a DVD disk you need DVD decoding software. It's usually WinDVD or PowerDVD... you need to install/reinstall your copy. To BURN a DVD you need to install/reinstall your DVD burning software, either Sonic MyDVD, Roxio or Nero.
