I keep getting a start up message telling me I need to install this program.
Originally it kept asking me to update it from a disk I did not have, so I
uninstalled it. now it keeps on asking me to install it and its driving me
insane. It pops up about ten times when you cancel it. System restore is no
use in this instance and I'm losing it.

Disable it from starting with the System Configuration Utility.

Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and
find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK
out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll
get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in
effect, "don't bother me about this again".
