Hi

I got a problem, anytime my computer is on it seems like something in the background is running. It is making my system slow down. I tried to restore to an earlier time, but the computer is saying I cannot restore.

Please help.

Have a look in task manager (ctrl alt del) process tab and line everything
up by the cpu tab and see what, if any, process is using the cpu cycles.

If you tried system restore and it wont restore it is corrupted. You need to
turn it off then turn it back on, control panel, system, system restore tab.
This will delete all old restore points ands create one new one. Although
you loose all old points if its not working its no use having them.

But what do I do after doing ctrl alt delete and seeing the cycles...my comp
sucks right now.

Repost the relevent info from task manager if you dont know what to do with
it. Without it we can only generalise.

Select (highlight) the information, hold the Ctrl key and press the letter C
to copy to the clipboard. Then move to the message, click in the message and
then hold down the Ctrl key and press the letter V.
