somehow default XP theme/style vanished

and now i'm stuck with classic windows 98 look.

i go through the usualy channels to switch it back
(desktop - right click - properties - appearance) yet unr
the menus the only option is "classic windows style"

there is no more XP listed there.

i've checked for viruses and there are none.

this happened right after a game i was playing crashed.

please help. i like the silver XP look (what i had before
this)
 
thanks for the tip kelly but it didn't seem to work. any
other ideas?
