Some programs re-install them self

Why is it that when I launch Adobe Acrobat Pro 6. It always re-installs it
self.
And I have a message saying "please wait while windows configures adobe
acrobat professional 6.0".

And when I click the Monkey's audio program to open up .ape music files, my
Texas Instruments program (TI-Connect and NoteFolio), of all things, always
do the same.
That is go through the installation process again.
