Hi All,

We have a slight problem at work where some users require the use of a
floppy drive in order to install some software for an application that around
3% of the workforse use. The workforce is quite substantial over 30,000 plus
users.

I am unable to say who the customer is!!! The problem we have is that the
W/Stations are severely "Locked Down" the floppy drive along with most USB
ports are locked down. Some users have access to the DVD/CD rom drive.

We have been debating whether email could be used as a possible solution
but, i thought that i might post this message incase someone might have had a
similar problem and, solved it in a different way.

Any information would be very greatfully received.

Well if you are the admin and have access and control over this Machines
then you can Configure it in the GPO (gpedit.msc).
I prefer the E-mail option as floppy is slowly fading away, but how should
install and how shouldn't?, still you can configure the users who can
Download and Install such software and who couldn't through the Group Policy
If you have one in Place!.
HTH.
