My upgrade for windows XP is in an inescapable loop--when I
click continue upgrade with the cd in, it tells me it
cannot find the upgrade, and if tell it to cancel the
upgrade, it reboots, but then just takes me back to the
same set of options for continuing the upgrade. recovery
console, safe mode, nothing else works. Does anyone know of
any way to reformat my hard drive without the windows CD?
with that in it only wants to upgrade, so how can I just
wipe the slate clean and do a clean install. Thanks so much
for any suggestion, I'm at the end of my rope, Merry
Christmas, bambamr

Get a DOS Bootdisk ( Win98 ) and rn FDISK. Delete the Non-DOS
Partitions, Then create and make active a new partition.
